La Union, Philippines - We are thrilled to share some exciting news from Armada Logics! Our team recently had a productive meeting with Ma'am Ruth Dayawen, the Provincial Director of TESDA La Union, to discuss a potential partnership to transform Region 1 into a thriving tech hub and a prominent producer of exceptional software engineers.

Armada Logics is a homegrown offshore development center from La Union, Philippines. Its founding members and engineers are the former engineers of Village 88, who founded Coding Dojo, one of the longest-running coding bootcamps in the US. It boasts of 20,000 graduates who now work in big tech companies. Our goal is to produce exceptionally talented software engineers here in La Union and make Region 1 known as a thriving tech hub.

Revolutionary Collaboration

Armada Logics' collaboration with TESDA aims to bridge the gap between education and industry requirements, ensuring job-ready graduates. Graduates will be equipped with the latest technological skills, starting in Region 1 and expanding nationwide. Our combined efforts will pave the way for innovative learning opportunities and robust skill development. This partnership aims to create a thriving tech ecosystem in the region. This initiative/team-up aligns perfectly with Armada Logics' mission to empower startups and tech professionals with Silicon Valley-caliber software development skills.

Our collaboration with TESDA La Union is not just about creating a tech hub. It's about providing more Filipinos with access to rewarding jobs. We aim to offer more significant opportunities in the tech industry. The Philippines has a flourishing pool of talent. With proper training and resources, Filipino software engineers can compete on a global stage. The accredited training programs will equip individuals with essential skills to thrive in the fast-evolving tech world.

Accredited training ensures that the programs offered meet the highest standards of quality and relevance. TESDA's accreditation is a mark of excellence that signifies rigorous curriculum design, experienced instructors, and robust assessment methods, which translates into a valuable certification recognized locally and internationally for the trainees/alums.

Creating a tech hub involves more than just training; it's about building a sustainable ecosystem that supports innovation and growth. This ecosystem includes creating opportunities for networking, mentorship, and collaboration among tech enthusiasts, professionals, and startups. By fostering a community of like-minded individuals and organizations, we can create a vibrant environment where ideas can flourish, and new ventures can take root.

Our Mission and Goal

Armada Logics' rich history of empowering startups with top-tier software development services will undoubtedly transform La Union. It will be known not only as the surfing capital of the Northern Philippines but also as the tech capital of the country.

Over the years, we have honed our skills and expanded our expertise. Our potential partnership with TESDA La Union is a natural extension of our commitment to excellence and our vision to impact the tech industry positively.

With this collaboration, it will create a ripple effect, driving the region's technological advancement and economic growth. By investing in education and skill development, we are investing in the future of La Union and the Philippines.

Strengthening Training Through Technology and Partnership

Beyond training delivery, Armada Logics has expanded its role by supporting TESDA’s operational needs through custom-built digital tools, reinforcing its position not only as a training provider but also as a trusted technology partner.

Billing Notifications App for TESDA Provincial Offices

Since October 2025, Armada Logics, led by Mario Narvaez, VP of Training and Skills Development, has been building a Billing Notifications App for the La Union TESDA Provincial Office. The development of this system is provided free of charge as part of Armada Logics’ commitment to public service and operational improvement.

The app helps training centers receive timely reminders to accomplish and submit their billing documents on schedule, reducing delays, improving compliance, and supporting smoother coordination between training providers and provincial offices.

By addressing a common administrative bottleneck, the tool helps ensure that government-supported training programs remain efficient, transparent, and sustainable.

Regional Dashboard Portal

In parallel, Armada Logics is also developing a Regional Dashboard Portal for the Region 1 TESDA Regional Office. This system is designed to provide centralized, real-time visibility into training activities across the entire region.

The dashboard will display consolidated data, including:

  • Number of Training Providers
  • Certified Trainers
  • Active Training Batches
  • Assessment Centers
  • Accredited Assessors
  • Nationally Certified Learners across the region

Once completed, the portal will support data-driven decision-making, strengthen regional oversight, and improve coordination among TESDA offices, assessment centers, and training institutions.
